Released in 1990
It's time to exceed your expectations.
The TBM 910 and TBM 960 are the latest members in Daher’s TBM family of very fast single-engine turboprop aircraft. Differences between the two models are concentrated on their primary avionics: Garmin’s G1000 NXi avionics system with physical keypad for the TBM 910; Garmin’s G3000 with touchscreen controller for the TBM 960.
Both aircraft offer superior performance – a maximum cruise speed of 330 kts. – And high efficiency with a 1,730-naut. mi. maximum range and a fuel consumption at economy cruise of 37 U.S. gallons per hour. This results from aerodynamic improvements, along with other aircraft enhancements.
The maximum range and useful load, as well as the ability to land at small airports, are some of the customers’ favorite features.
The TBM aircraft was born in Tarbes, France, resulting from a partnership with Texas-based Mooney Aircraft. Thirty years and more than 1,000 aircraft later, the TBM is still recognized as the world’s fastest pressurized single-engine turboprop aircraft. Launched as the TBM 700 with an engine power of 700 hp., the program grew with the TBM 850 under Daher’s ownership and reached new heights with the TBM 900-series, beginning in 2014.
The TBM 960 HomeSafe™ emergency autoland function automatically brings the airplane to a runway touchdown if the pilot is incapacitated. This game-changing technology extends Daher’s innovation to a feature that specifically addresses safety from the passengers’ point of view.
