    New Delhi, India, March 5, 2018 – Daher today announced the appointment of SRK Aviacom (I) Pvt. Ltd. as the area sales representative for TBM very fast aircraft on the Indian subcontinent.

    Based at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, Aviacom is a leading sales organization for aircraft and helicopters in India, as well as a provider of professional flight simulators.

    “With an emerging demand for TBM aircraft in India, we selected Aviacom as our partner to spearhead the sales outreach in this market,” commented Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of the Daher Airplane Business Unit. “Aviacom’s 20 years of marketing light aircraft and helicopters in India, along with its expertise in flight simulators, provides the company with expertise that literally is from the ground up.”

    Chabbert added that Daher will benefit from Aviacom’s network and its commitment to deliver superior service for future Indian TBM customers.

    Aviacom CEO Capt. Sanjay Kumar said his company was founded with a vision: enable a large Indian population to become aviators through affordable means of training. “By introducing Daher’s TBM family of very fast turboprop aircraft, we aim at going one step further by offering this cost effective corporate aircraft for Indian businesses and entrepreneurs. Our TBM sales effort will be led by Aviacom’s young, experienced and dedicated team.”

    The TBM 910 and TBM 930 are the latest members in Daher’s TBM family of very fast single-engine turboprop aircraft. Differences between the two models are concentrated on their primary avionics:
    Garmin’s G1000 NXi avionics system with physical keypad for the TBM 910; Garmin’s G3000 with touchscreen controller for the TBM 930. Both aircraft offer superior performance – a maximum cruise speed of 330 kts. – and high efficiency with a 1,730-naut. mi. maximum range and a fuel consumption at economy cruise of 37 U.S. gallons per hour. This results from aerodynamic improvements, along with other aircraft enhancements. The maximum range and useful load, as well as the ability to land at small airports, are some of the customers’ favorite features.

    To date, a total of 879 TBM aircraft have been delivered to international owners and operators, with the global fleet accumulating some 1.5 million flight hours. TBM 900-series aircraft already have received 256 orders since their launch, with 217 delivered through December 31, 2017. They are built by Daher on its industrial site at the airport of Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées (Hautes Pyrénées), France.
